There is so much to see and do in northern Estonia, where Russian and Estonian cultures meet. It is an exceptionally changeful part of Estonia. In the nature the coast of rough granite or with upright rocky walls align with mild sandy bays and reedy patches. Here, on the steep limestone bank of the northern coast, one finds practically all the big and small waterfalls of Estonia.
An excellent place to begin your exploration of Estonian nature is our oldest national park Lahemaa. It is a wild – life preserve with its marvellous forest and wetland sceneries, beautiful manor houses.
The ancient strongholds from Tallinn to Narva, the ruins of the castles of the Order knights, fortified churches and cloisters remind us about the battles on the northern coast. Foreign lords` manors, the luxurious Baroque buildings and superb classicist ensembles are to be found here as well.
North Estonia is rich in contrasts. You are welcome to discover and convinced of it!
